StandUp. StandTogether. StandStrong

Like so many Americans, we are disappointed and saddened by the results of the 2016 General Elections which gave the White House, the House of Representatives, the Senate and a majority of the U.S. Supreme to the Republican party. We can only hope that a President Trump will prove us wrong, and live up to the ideals of justice, equality and freedom that safeguard our nation. For the sake of all Americans, old and new, we ask God to guide the new President, elected officials and soon to be appointed public servants with wisdom, justice, temperance, and compassion. The GOP’s platform was a clear warning to immigrants and their advocates. We therefore expect the consequences of a Trump presidency and a GOP Congress to be disastrous for the millions of immigrants, refugees, ethnic, racial and religious minorities who call these United States home. Nevertheless, we are reassured that not even these results are permanent. As we move ahead, we will watch, listen, warn and engage whenever possible. But more than anything, we will Standup for what is right. We will StandTogether with those who will bear the brunt of the GOP’s new domestic policies. And we will StandStrong for what we believe in. Immigration Law & Advocacy will continue to provide the legal services, support and  information that immigrants in the United States need to be successful, to flourish and to triumph no matter who is president, for this too shall pass.
